Heritage Society reprints popular book

True Grit: A 50-Year Tribute has now been reprinted and updated. Copies are available by mail from the Ouray County Ranch History Museum (Ridgway) (ocrhm.org).

This book tells the behind-the-scenes stories as told by the local residents who were here for the filming in 1968—information available nowhere else! Also included are a number of articles about other movies filmed in Southwest Colorado, a summary of John Wayne’s film career, and a review of the 2010 version of True Grit.
